Food In Nigeria That Prevents Malaria
Malaria is a mosquito borne disease and has killed many in Nigeria. Some of the symptoms of malaria includes increase in body temperature, fever, vomiting.
Here are some home remedies to malaria:

1. Water Leaf
Waterleaf is called Gbure in Yoruba, Ebe-dondon in Edo, and in English it is called; Philippine spinach, sweetheart, flame flower Florida spinach. It is one stubborn weed that grows through out the year whether it is raining season or dry season.
waterleaf contains a high amount of Protein, essential amino acids, pectin, Vitamin B, iron, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Thiamine, Lead, Copper, Manganese, Riboflavin, niacin, alpha and beta tocopherols.
This leaf can be used to prevent malaria and other diseases like diabetes, cancer etc.
How To use: add the leaves and water to your blender and blend well. Sieve out the juice and drink immediately. I'll advice you take this juice almost everyday or 2-3 times a week .

2. Efo Iyana Ipaja :
this vegetable has so many funny names; efo Iyana ipaja (Yoruba), ugu-oyinbo (igbo), hospital too far(pidgin), efo Jerusalem, catholic vegetable etc. This vegetable is rich in so many vitamins and antioxidant that makes it a powerful vegetable for curing several diseases and malaria is one of them.
After drinking the juice you'll be strong and healthier.How To use: add the leaves and water to your blender and blend well. Sieve out the juice and drink immediately. I'll advice you take this juice or 2 times a week.
3. Ginger
Ginger contains Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties which helps to provide relief from pain and treat nausea.
How To Use: boil ginger in water. once it has boiled pour the water into a mug, add honey and drink. Drink it twice a day.
You can also add ginger and garlic to your food.
4. Cinnamon
For centuries, this spice has been a part of traditional remedies used in the treatment of malaria. Cinnamon contains cinnamaldehyde, procyanidins, and catechins which produces antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, making it a great home remedy to treat malaria symptoms.
